R. Crumb was here!
South Division Street, Bonne Terre, Missouri. Bonne Terre is French for "good earth"
which reminds me of the transformation in R. Crumb's "A Short History of America."

Somewhat random imagery from the photo archives. Some tell an actual story, others may just suggest one of your own making. Many have links in the title or key words which may add meaningful (or meaningless) background information. Click on any photo to enlarge.

You caught my eye with your latest entry; as a fan of graphic novels, I know the R. Crumb work you are referring to. I've always liked it. I browsed your most recent entries. What incredible photos. I have to confess that I am now using your photo of San Francisco as my Windows wallpaper. I am from San Francisco, and now I live very far from The City. Your photo--perhaps one of the most beautiful I have ever seen of The City--helps the homesickness.
